Powell regrets 'mess' of Iraq

COLIN POWELL, the former US Secretary of State, harshly criticised the Bush Administration yesterday for its failures in Iraq, calling the country a mess and voicing concerns that it may slide into civil war.
General Powell, who left the Administration in January, also said that his speech in February 2003 to the UN, making the case for war, was a painful blot on his record.

Yeah, well, too little to late from Powell. Had such great hopes for him. Where has he been since he left the Administration? He should have spoken up sooner. Some of this is on his hands, too, since he didn't.
Saw him on the Daily Show several months ago defending the same actions he's claiming to be pained about now. Heard rumors he might be tapped to head FEMA.
